Eriko Sano, a student about to return home to Japan decided to get her hair braided in cornrows after seeing an ad in an African American hair styles magazine. The braiding process took several hours to complete, and it was shot with an aging 8mm video camera.
I edited it down to a few minutes; increased the picture resolution to digital video format; and choreographed several royalty free music segments to create a snappy video.
